Feedback
Feedback is important for growth and development – for both students and teachers. That is why our comprehensive quality management framework includes a variety of touch points throughout a student’s learning journey, where they can both receive and give feedback.
Feedback from Faculty → Student
Feedback is a crucial part of the student’s learning journey. Based on your expert judgment, you can share your insights into their work and also suggest ways to improve. We know that giving feedback is time consuming, but it is where students learn the most and can grow. We therefore strongly encourage you to give your students plenty of feedback. Tips
- Think of providing feedback differently than just in writing. Maybe oral feedback that is recorded is even more authentic, allows for more nuances, and may be less time-consuming. Talk to our Teaching Support Team about how to integrate it into Moodle.
- Peer to Peer Feedback may be another way to increase the feedback students receive on their work; while this feedback may not be graded, it can provide additional insights and learning.
- Feedback opportunities during the core-module, such as online evaluation, feedback talks, individual personal feedback, etc. are additional options (See Toolbox).
Feedback from Student → Faculty
After your module, we ask students to evaluate the module in terms of the applicability of the content, the competence of the lecturer and the use of didactic tools (methods, media, etc.). The results of this evaluation process will be communicated to you personally by the program management after you have submitted your grades. This will allow you to adapt and improve your teaching according to the students’ needs. Before the next teaching assignment is scheduled, the Program Manager will share the feedback again to refresh your experience.
Overall Quality Management
Module feedback is not the only way in which students can give WU Executive Academy feedback on their learning experience. The three international accreditation agencies, AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA, as well as WU Vienna Quality Management, have their own rules and regulations, which WU Executive Academy strictly adheres to. If there is feedback on your learning experience beyond the individual module feedback, the Academic Director will come back to you to share this feedback.
